|The Only Man in The Arena

“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
I am an unabashed, unlimited, unrestrained, unmodified, unapologetic supporter of President Donald Trump. That comment is offered as it is seldom, if ever, heard. So many on the Right, contaminated by the Left’s orchestrated attacks on the President, offer only highly modified and limited support to this man who is, single-handedly, fighting all of America’s battles. “The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.” Trump stands alone in the arena.
I don’t feel the need to offer any obligatory negative comments to demonstrate my supposed “superiority” … as do many of my Republican friends…all wanting to be recognized for just how “special” they are. I accept that Donald Trump, unlike almost all other politicians, talks to the American people in real language without the carefully constructed, hypocritical words, of political newspeak. The vote I cast for the President was the most important that I offered during my lifetime…and I’ve never missed an election. Whatever limited doubts I had at that point are gone today…scrubbed clean by the commitment to America shown by Donald Trump.
The media’s distorted comments aside, Trump’s character is excellent. He is a more moral being than was Barack Obama… or anyone on the Left… not a high threshold I will admit…and, as an after-thought, Trump makes the Pope (the incumbent Pope) seem unethical in comparison. Francis is a man with but limited understanding of the human experience. He advocates for economic and political systems that have caused enormous levels of human misery, failure and despair. He should know…must know… better…he’s the Pope.
Saying “pleasant things” doesn’t make you ethical…doing ethical things does. Trump does ethical…and legal…things. If my offering negative comments about the Pope is insensitive…so be it. Nemo non modo possint improbari…no one is beyond reproach. I include the Pope in this discussion as he speaks antagonistically to the forces of freedom and economic well-being… and has attacked Donald Trump, saying “Trump is not Christian.”If the President of the United States can be subjected to scurrilous comments, including those made by Pope Francis, then Francis himself must stand accessible to be challenged for his immeasurable ethical violations.
Given the ability to choose anyone in this country…anyone…I would choose Donald Trump. America has one, and only one chance, to restore itself to anything resembling the intent of our founders. It is Donald Trump. Through no fault of the President, I am still not convinced we’ll be OK even with him…I am absolutely convinced that we will fail without him.
I am reasonably well educated…perhaps more than is healthy…. well read…very current… and involved with all issues and have been so my entire life. Most Trump supporters that I know are fairly similar to myself. I find the clear majority of those on the Left to be destructive zealots that can only be called psychopathic in their actions. They are emotional animals reacting to their feelings as if they are facts; plunging us forward into an abyss from which no nation ever has…or could ever… recover. They are anarchistic nihilists with the destruction of all that was America as their single destination. Do not become distracted by claims of equivalent actions from the Right. A few on the Right have occasional negative anomalies; the Left, on the other hand, has an organized and widespread strategy of social and political anarchy.
In a like manner to Islamic terrorists, the Left launches their attacks behind a shield of the innocent. When they have no argument…whether it be guns…immigration… or health care…they throw their destructive assaults from the safety of a bunker built around children. The only barrier to their conspiratorial plot is Donald Trump. Trump is our “Ripley at the Bridge” …he is our Washington at Valley Forge…he is our Patton at the Ardennes and Battle of the Bulge…he is our Doolittle over Tokyo. Too romanticized for your taste? If so, then you simply don’t understand where America is in 2018. To not grasp that we are in life and death battle for the future of America, creates nothing but safe, milk-toast, words and actions. Those concepts best define the congressional Republicans.
Analogously, Donald Trump has given America a toehold on the Omaha Beach of national reclamation. That toehold is precarious and, if not successful, will allow for the rapid acceleration of the Progressive malignancy. Eisenhower had the entire commitment of Allied forces on June 6th, 1944, dedicated to the destruction of an insidious enemy. Today, we face no less an enemy…BUT…unlike Eisenhower’s troops, Trump stands on the beach at Normandy by himself. Unlike the troops on Omaha Beach, Trump is being shelled by some of the “friendly” forces off shore.
To make the arduous trek up the steep bluffs beyond the beach he will need support…any support will be more than he’s receiving now. If Trump fails…America fails. Never again will there be an attack on the enemy’s position. Never again will we be a nation that regards law more highly than political whim. Never again will individual rights be more respected than collectivist accommodation. Never again…will America be America. The alternative to Trump will be the surrender to all that is demanded by the Progressives.
Trump’s “burden” is that he is the least “political” president in American history. He clearly recognizes that both houses of Congress are simply numbers games. He needs 218 representatives and 50 plus Senators. Their individual merits count far less than merely adding them up. The only individual who can meaningfully affect the future of America, is Donald Trump. To not offer your support is tantamount to turning your back on America and the sacrifices that have been made to create and defend it.
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star
I fervently hope that restoring America is much more than an “Impossible Dream.” Of course, I’d rather have an “Impossible Dream” than a guaranteed “nightmare.”
